Greetings Members,
Winter is finally over. The Post annual clean up day was April 25th.  Thank you to all who came out to help. We have a beautiful post here, so let's all work together to keep it that way.
We still have two more Chicken BBQ’s this spring, May 3rd and June 7th. We need help. Don’t forget to attend the Memorial Day Service at the Bedford County Court House on May 25th at 11 am, and also Flag Retirement on June 14th. Come out and support your post.
Thank you for your support this year, It has been my honor being your Post Commander.

SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION SQUADRON 113

Greetings,
Hello again everyone. We will be having our annual Mother’s Day Dinner on May 10th. We would appreciate any help from our SAL members to make it a successful event.
We are looking forward to welcoming all the families that come to celebrate Mother’s Day and enjoy the ham and turkey dinner.
I would like to encourage all SAL members to attend our monthly meetings which are on the first Tuesday of the month at 7PM in the American Legion conference room. Attendance and participation in the meetings ensure a healthy squadron that makes sound decisions and can fulfill all its duties. Attending the meetings also ensure YOUR voice is heard. We hope to see you there!
Thank you
Jerry Williams
Commander, SAL Squadron 113

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 113

Dear Members of Unit 113,
Well, here we are for the next quarter of the year and where did the first one go.  The birds are singing and the grass is slowly turning green.  So, get out and enjoy this beautiful land of ours. Next chicken BBQ’s are May 3 and June 7.  Cakes are always needed and we try to hold a bake sale at each Chicken BBQ.  All paid up members are welcome to attend our meetings. They are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the main dining room. Come and support your unit. We have our poppy
sales in May, our basket raffle at the annual picnic in August and our bake sale in November/December. All money raised stays local to help veterans in need.  If you know of a fundraiser you would like to see the auxiliary look into, please call me or attend a meeting so it can be brought up for discussion. If you know of a veteran or auxiliary member in need of financial assistance, let a board member know. We are listed in the bulletin. Be sure to read the bulletin. It has all upcoming events. Check your email under your spam if you don’t see it.  Keep the faith and enjoy the upcoming warmer weather. Please feel free to call me at 814-977-0057 if you have any questions. Remember Everyone Deployed, RED, so wear your red on Friday’s, till they all come home.  Thank a Veteran for their service. Without them, we would not have the land of the free and home of the brave.
Deb Magill
Auxillary President Unit 113
