COMMANDER'S CORNER
Fellow Legion members,

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. A new year is upon us with its many challenges. Let’s start the new year right by recruiting some new members. There are a lot of veterans and their families, whether it be sons, or auxiliary that would like to belong to our legion family. All they need is someone to invite them to join.
I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.
The next couple of months, we have some upcoming events. Keep an eye on the signage out front and for flyers posted for info. Remember, if you need anything or have questions, please reach out. We are all a Family and are here to help.

SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION SQUADRON 113
Greetings S.A.L Members,

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and peaceful holiday. As the New Year starts and spring is here, I would like to thank all the members for their help and support. May will be here soon, so all the help we will need on Mother's Day will be greatly appreciated.
We also have plans for this summer to better our Squadron.
Remember to pay your dues - it makes us strong, and we will accomplish more.

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 113

As we welcome the New Year, I want to say thank you to all of our active members for your continued support. All paid-up members are welcome to attend our meetings. They are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the upstairs banquet hall at the legion. Come and support your unit. If you are interested in joining, you can get an application at the bar. I want to thank everyone involved with our annual bake sale in November and their help with the kids’ Christmas. March 1st should be the first chicken barbecue, and as always, we need cakes; it takes 20 to 25 cakes each time, so bake a cake to help support the men and women of the Legion and Auxiliary. We will continue with our bake sale at each chicken BBQ, and all money raised goes to veterans in need. If you know of a fundraiser you would like to see the auxiliary look into, please call me or attend a meeting so it can be brought up for discussion. If you know of a veteran or auxiliary member in need of financial assistance, let a board member know. We are listed in the bulletin. I wish all of you the best health for the coming year. Please feel free to call me at 814-977-0057 if you have any questions. Remember all those who are deployed, so wear your red on Fridays, till they all come home. Remember to thank a Veteran for their service. Without them, we would not have the land of the free and home of the brave.

Auxiliary President Unit 113
